The first real build — property SEO and CRM, in 2014.

An Egyptian real estate company where the CRM and the SEO were built as one system rather than two — unusual for the market at the time, and the reason the approach stuck.

The brief

Generate property enquiries organically in a market that ran almost entirely on classifieds and cold calling.

The situation

  • Egyptian property in 2014 ran almost entirely on classified listings and cold calling. Organic acquisition barely existed as a concept.
  • There was no site structure capable of ranking for project or location queries.
  • Leads were captured and then lost, because follow-up depended on whichever salesperson happened to take the call.
  • Nobody could say which enquiries came from where, so nothing could be improved deliberately.

What I did

01

Built the organic layer from nothing

Site structure, project pages and location targeting created from scratch in a market where competitors were still buying classified placements.

02

Connected capture to the CRM

Lead capture wired into the CRM so follow-up was tracked as a process rather than left to individual memory — unusual for the market at the time.

03

Made source attribution possible

Enquiries were tagged by origin, which is the prerequisite for any deliberate improvement and was simply absent before.

04

Established the habit that stuck

Measure the handoff, not just the click. Eleven years later that is still the first thing set up on every engagement.

Set the measurement-first habit used ever since.
