Two years of freelance SEO delivery.
An Egyptian company served on a freelance basis for two years, covering search visibility and technical optimisation.
The brief
Independent SEO delivery alongside full-time engagements.
The situation
- A two-year freelance engagement run alongside full-time roles, which puts a hard ceiling on available hours.
- Limited time means the work has to be ruthlessly prioritised — there is no room for effort that does not move a ranking.
- Search visibility had to be built and then maintained without a full-time presence.
- Independent work has no team to absorb mistakes, so every recommendation had to be right the first time.
What I did
Prioritised by impact per hour
With capped time, only the work that measurably moves visibility was taken on. Everything else was explicitly declined rather than done badly.
Front-loaded the technical work
Structural fixes compound without ongoing attention, which makes them the correct investment when time is the binding constraint.
Built for low-maintenance durability
Solutions were chosen for how little upkeep they needed, not for how sophisticated they were.
Kept the engagement honest about scope
Clear boundaries on what a part-time engagement can and cannot deliver — the thing that let it run two years without failing.
