Deliver senior-level SEO across accounts with very different technical maturity.
What was in the way
- An agency portfolio where accounts sat at wildly different levels of technical maturity, from well-built to structurally broken.
- Junior teams can execute a checklist but cannot diagnose why a site that follows the checklist still does not rank.
- Clients arrived expecting content output when the actual blocker was almost always structural.
- Senior time is the scarce resource in an agency, so it has to go where diagnosis, not execution, is the constraint.
What I did
Focused on diagnosis over execution
Senior time was spent on the technical audits and structural problems junior teams typically cannot identify, which is where it actually returns.
Triaged the portfolio
Accounts were assessed for what was genuinely blocking them, so effort went to the real constraint rather than the requested deliverable.
Fixed foundations before content
Structural work first in every case, because publishing into a broken architecture is the most common way agency budgets are wasted.
Made findings transferable
Audits were written so the client's own team could act on them without the agency in the room.
